What Was Three Is Now Two

Last night, the White Sox moved into a two-way tie for first thanks to their defeat of Kansas City and Cleveland's defeat of Detroit. Sunday's game had moved the White Sox, Indians, and Tigers into a three-way tie. Hopefully, Saturday was the last time the Sox will have to look up at someone in the standings.

Jose Contreras was masterful Monday. Off the top of my head, I believe he only allowed one hit before he was relieved by Boone Logan. Boone looked good, also.

The story of the night was that both Brian Anderson and Scott Podsednik had hits for the White Sox. It is high time that the outfielders stop hitting like middle infielders.
